Buying a home abroad is never easy. It is less easy to buy it from the other side of the world.

When the place to buy a house was decided, the search for contacts to turn to.

In Italy it would certainly have been easier but in the Dominican Republic the knowledge was zero.

It was necessary to turn to professionals and trust them.

So I decided to do some research on the internet and two names came out that we decided to contact. Actually other sites also came out but for different reasons we focused on the two of them. I made the contacts, we left.

Arriving on the spot, the two intermediaries showed us several houses and apartments. We also contacted other local agencies but gradually we excluded them either because they did not have what we were looking for or because some turned out to be unprofessional.

The search was tiring but also fun. We had the opportunity to meet different places and different people.

The negotiations continued from Italy as on our return trip we had not yet chosen which of the 3/4 apartments could be that taste. In the end we chose CasaCristina which met our quality / price needs.

We made the compromise in Italy but not the deed as it was possible to do it only in the country where the apartment was located.

All in all it was a good experience. If I had to buy another apartment, it would certainly be easier. Sometimes the fears in buying a house on the other side of the world were real, sometimes they were just due to inexperience.
